So here's how you can extend the summer, making your clothes (and pennies) go further.<\/p>

The staple t-shirt dress<\/h2>

You only need one of these to take you all year through. Pick a colour that suits your skintone and you can accessorise the hell out of it. Cover up your bikini on the beach? Trainers and a hoodie? Kimono, heels and a chunky gold chain? My favourite colours for all year round are mustard and khaki. But you do you.<\/p>

Shorts and boots combo<\/h2>

Don\u2019t put those shorts away just <\/em>yet - we may be lucky enough to have an \u2018Indian summer\u2019. But if not, they can still see you through the change in season. Team with a pair of worker boots and rock a bare leg or fishnets on warmer days. Or opaque tights and a baggy jumper when it gets cooler.<\/p>

Slogan t-shirts are a great way to mix up a usually formal or \u2018officey\u2019 outfit and bring in more autumnal colours at the same time. So add a gold and plum tee with some tweed tailored trousers. Mix a kitsch feminist top<\/a> with jeans and a cardi.<\/p>
