You probably already know that TABBY.FIREFLY is an independent apparel brand selling bold, quirky and feel-good designs. But where did the name come from and who exactly is Tabby Firefly?<\/p>

I'm Lou, the founder of TABBY.FIFREFLY and I think it's about time I explain.<\/p>

I'm a huge lover of slasher movies, strong coffee, serial killer documentaries, tequila, American BBQ food and police procedural novels. I also love cute fluffy animals, raw vegan cakes, turmeric lattes, happy stories and pretty dresses. I sometimes worry I'm having an identity crisis but then I realise this is all what makes me.... me.<\/p>

It took me a long while to accept who I am and that it's OK to not fit in a box. So I came up with the brand name as a way of expressing the two sides to my personality; and therefore my work. The Tabby suggests something simple and wholesome, the Firefly more crazy and brash.<\/p>

On the one hand there's Tabby - simple, straight up, understated. Straight geometric lines, simple icons and neutral styles. Here you'll find my Anchor <\/a>, Ello Sailor<\/a>, I'm not Broken<\/a> and Houseplant Appreciation Society<\/a> tees. Along with my neutral prints<\/a>. \"\"

Conversely there's Firefly - a bold, in-yer-face kind of character who is mildly unhinged. This is where you'll find my maximalist designs, bold slogans and quotes. Like my Pussy over Patriarchy<\/a>, Hug Me<\/a>, Tie Dye<\/a> and People are Strange<\/a> tees.

So whatever your personality and how you want to express it, make sure you're 100% authentically and unapologetically YOU.<\/p>
