How do you get organic cotton? What is the difference between organic and non-organic cotton? What's so special about it?<\/p>

Organic cotton offers many benefits over other textiles, here we take a look at them in more depth.\"\"
When you're choosing clothing, it's important to consider the environment. Choosing organic materials reduces the amount of chemicals that are used in farming, which is better for both the people who work on these farms and the environment.

The term \"organic\" refers to living things. When we talk about organic clothing, we're referring to clothes that are made from all-natural materials, grown without any pesticides or water-polluting fertilizers. Also, there are no chemical bleaches used to whiten your garments.\"\"

Our clothes are better for wildlife too. Chemicals can accumulate in soil and harm the growth of beneficial organisms like earthworms and bacteria.<\/p>

Organic cotton is the world's most widely grown natural fibre, and with good reason\u2014not only does its production help enrich the soil in which it's grown, making it more sustainable than many other crops, it's also extremely soft and comfortable to wear.<\/p>

Non-organic cotton is often treated with chemicals to make it stronger and to make it last longer. These chemicals can cause skin irritations and other problems such as respiratory issues and allergies in some people.<\/p>

Synthetic materials used in clothes (think polyester, nylon etc) are actually made from plastic. Plastic doesn\u2019t biodegrade or break down in the environment and tiny pieces of the fabric - microfibres - are released into the air when wearing and our wastewater systems when washing. Organic cotton is breathable, washes really well, and is durable. But you don\u2019t have to sacrifice style for sustainability, nor vice versa.
